Ben Morris - Head Coach

Head Coach Ben Morris is in his 2nd year as the Bulldogs' head coach.  He has spent the past six years as the head coach of Stillman Valley, leading the Cardinals to a dual meet record of 123-25, and three Regional titles on the way to a 2nd place and two 3rd place finishes at the state tournament.  During the past 18 years he has coached at both the high school and collegiate level with stops at Elmhurst College and Northern Illinois University, as well as Lake Park, Elgin and Fenton high schools.  As a high school wrestler at Fenton High School he was a four time all-state wrestler, never placing lower than 3rd and winning a state title as a senior.  He was also a four-time freestyle All-American and went on to compete for the University of Minnesota, where despite an injury plagued career he still earned All Big 10 honors and was a NCAA qualifier.  Coach Morris is finishing his Masters of Education in Kinesiology and Physical Education at Northern Illinois University, and will be teaching Health at Batavia High School.  He and his wife Sarah have two children; Cora (4) and Ivan (2) and plan to relocate to Batavia in the near future.

Assistant Head Coach Scott Bayer is now in his 7th year as an assistant coach following coaching stints at Lane Tech and collegiately at North Central College in Naperville.  Competitively, Coach Bayer was a state qualifier at Hoffman Estates High School, and was a two-time NCAA Division III national qualifier and achieved All-American status in 1998 while attending Monmouth College.  He currently teaches History at Batavia High School and lives in Naperville with his wife Julie.

John Canfield - Assistant Coach

Assistant Coach John Canfield has 30 years of coaching experience, the last 14 at Batavia High School.  Prior to this he coached the Rotolo Middle School team for 14 years and spent a year each at Yorkville and Oswego High Schools.  Coach Canfield wrestled at Richards High School and also at Illinois State University.  Coach Canfield is a Physical Education teacher at Rotolo Middle School.  He and his wife Rose reside in Geneva and have two children Katie and Sean.

Greg Schroeder - Assistant Coach

Assistant Coach Greg Schroeder is in his first year as a coach with Bulldogs, but is a very familiar face having wrestled for the Bulldogs from 2003-2006.  During high school he was 2X All-Conference, a team captain, team MVP and finished his career with a 6th place finish at the State Tournament earning All-State honors.  After high school he attended North Central College where he was a 4 year varsity starter, 4X Academic All-Conference, an Academic All-American and team captain.  He finished his career with over 100 career wins and is ranked 9th all time at North Central.  During his medical redshirt year he was a varsity assistant coach at Plainfield North High School, coaching two state qualifiers.  In 2011 he graduated from North Central College with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and Health and teaches at Batavia High School.
